Yeah, that’s right. We save puppies, too…

We’ve taken in another child!  Our friends found this adorable little pup in the dumpster yesterday. The poor thing was covered in fleas, mange, and even looks like someone tried to chop of her little head! Luckily for Telulah (lulu), at Matooke Design, we don’t just focus on the people of Uganda, but helpless little creatures like this pup too! This will be the 7th little dude that Kendra’s saved in the last year. She takes them in, cleans them up, gets some meat on their bones, vaccinates, neuters, spades, and if she doesn’t have room to add them to the family, finds a good home for them. In Uganda, the treatment of animals, specifically dogs is horrendous. They are beaten mercilessly, shut up in dark boxes, starved, and treated with fear and disdain. This is one cultural “tradition” that we at Matooke Design hope to change. And slowly but surely, puppy by pup, Kendra is doing it.
